RF ID Prepaid Solution

  Introduction  

This solution uses contactless RFID technology to enable data exchange between the user and the water/gas meter via wireless sensing. Users purchase water/gas from sales points or mobile POS devices, and the data is encrypted and stored in the RFID card. The meter reads the stored information and updates the remaining balance. When the balance is insufficient, the valve is automatically closed, ensuring a "prepaid before use" control model. During the recharge process, meter parameters are synchronized back to the sales system for data analysis and operational management.

  1. Harsh Environment Areas: suitable for high humidity and dusty environments such as communities or industrial zones, with waterproof and dustproof design ensuring stable operation

  2. Offline Service Dependency: ideal for rural or remote areas with limited network coverage, where physical cards are required for recharging

  3. Old Residential Area Renovation: no need for complex network deployment, enabling quick replacement of traditional mechanical meters


  Component  

  1. User RFID Card: Contactless smart card, storing recharge data and meter parameters

  2. Prepaid Meter: Integrated with an RFID reader module, valve controller, and LCD display

  3. Water Sales System: Includes fixed sales points, mobile POS terminals, and a backend management platform

  4. Data Transmission Medium: Short-range RFID communication (13.56MHz)


   Work Process  

  1. User Recharge: users purchase water at a sales point or mobile POS, and the data is written to the RFID card

  2. Meter Interaction: the user taps the card near the meter's sensing area, securely transmitting data to the meter, updating the balance, and opening the valve

  3. Data Feedback: meter parameters (such as consumption and valve status) are stored on the card and uploaded to the sales system for analysis

  4. Low Balance: when the remaining balance is nearly zero, the meter closes the valve and prompts for a recharge
